Zasha pushed the door to the door open and hefted her suitcase through with a grunt. Well, it's nicer than the last school. Four beds to a room was luxurious by boarding school standards. Doesn't look like any of my new roommates are in yet. I'd better settle in. She dragged her suitcase to the unclaimed bed at the end of the room and stared blankly at the empty wardrobe. Feeling a nose nudge her leg, she reached out absentmindedly with one hand and stroked Jack, feeling the soft fur on his ears as clearly as if an actual dog were standing there, regardless of the fact that she couldn't see him. "Time to unpack now. Hooray!" She rolled her eyes sarcastically. Jack's invisible claws clicked on the hard floor as he trotted to the bed and jumped onto it, creating a dog-shaped indentation in the sheet.

She was always able to surpass others detection, and she managed to do it again. She had been sitting on the bed in the far corner for six hours, not eating after her Group Therapy Session that morning. She looked up as the girl came in. She didn't greet her, but put her book down to acknowledge that she knew the girl was there.
My head hurts. Those were usually the only words that ran through the brunette's head. Her illness gave her aches all over her body, but affected her head most. She couldn't swallow the pain killers than she had. It just didn't go down. She couldn't help that.
Ainslie St. Claire stared at her new roommate, a girl she had never met. In reality, she wouldn't get to know her much. It was a shame. She smiled brightly at Zasha, and stood to greet her with a handshake.

Zasha began to put her clothes away into the wardrobe - both her own mufti and the Hollowcove Institute's uniform. She wrinkled her nose at the uniform. Despite over five years of boarding school, she still hated wearing a uniform. It wasn't that she had her own individual or eclectic style - it was mostly having to wear a skirt that annoyed her.
She turned to pick up a black polo shirt from the open suitcase on the bed and started, instinctively and unknowingly throwing up a barrier between herself and the girl that seemed to have appeared from nowhere. Taking in the friendly smile and extended hand, she relaxed, and the invisible fence dissolved. She took the hand with a smile of her own. "Hey. I'm Zasha."

Ainslie didn't seem to acknowledge any strange behavior, taking Zasha's hand in a firm handshake. If Zasha experienced any form of hallucinatory images from the contact, Ainslie didn't know. She did know that her head stopped hurting. She enjoyed the relief from it. She seems kind. She didn't speak, but nodded and pointed to the monogram on what seemed like an expensive polo shirt. She had changed out of her uniform and into pajamas, expecting to sleep.
The monogram was in classy script, detailing that her name was Ainslie StC, as her last name wasn't shown in the blue font. It was times like this that she wanted to be able to speak; she wanted this girl to be her friend since they were sharing the same room. That's too bad, she told herself.

Gi skipped into the dorm that she seemed to be assigned to. She saw two other girls there and said, Hi. I'm Gi. She smiled and walked over to a bed that hadn't been claimed yet. She walked over and started unpacking. Gi wasn't like most people here, she was almost always happy, even in a place like this, and didn't really care that she was declared clinically insane. She sat down on the bed half way through unpacking and looked at the two girls. Is anyone else supposed to be staying with us? she asked them. She thought there was supposed to be one more but she wasn't positive.

Zasha blinked in alarm as the room disappeared briefly, to be replaced by a blue sky, punctuated with clouds and falling rocks and a slack red rope weaving through the middle. The vision was accompanied by a lurching feeling that made her nearly fall over, until she released the other girl's hand and it all disappeared. "Woah... so, uh, you're Ainslie I guess?" She turned as an energetic little girl burst in through the door and bounced across to an empty bed. "Um... hello. I'm Zasha. Ainslie." She gestured loosely towards the so-far-mute teenager on the last word. "I don't know. There's four beds, so I'd assume so." She shrugged and sat down, outwardly very relaxed and Russian. Jack lay down across her feet as something long-haired. A spaniel? The size seemed right.
OOC: The illusion Zasha's feeling and seeing is a flashback of when she fell off a cliff while rock-climbing.

Ainslie was taken aback by the newest addition's cheery demeanor. She didn't mind it, it was just very awkward for her to be near. The headache came back almost immediately. Shoot. She gave a silent sigh and nodded in the new girl's direction. She sat on her empty bed, putting her bookmark in between the pages that she had been reading. Her stomach did a flip. The lack of nourishment was making the rest of her body hurt as well. A cringed look fell on her face and she lay back, studying the room's new occupants closely.
OOC: Cliff-falling. Not fun, no...

Gi looked at both the girls and then nodded. You're right there are four beds. And it's nice to meet you both. She smiled and stood up again. She finished unpacking about 15 minutes later. I wonder when the classes start? she half thought out loud and half asked. She took off her sneakers and put them neatly on the side of her bed. I hope that people aren't too crazy here. she said, and smiled again.

Zasha caught a movement out of the corner of her eye and watched as Ainslie fell back onto her bed with a strange expression. "Girl, you need chocolate. Catch." She threw a slim box of Pocky towards Ainslie's bed. "I don't part with that stuff easily. Appreciate it." She added, almost as an afterthought, "Oh, and pass it onto sprog too." I hope that people aren't too crazy here.[/i] Zasha looked up with surprise, one eyebrow cocked. "Crazy? Honey, this is a mental asylum, in case you hadn't noticed. Well... it's meant to be, at least. Just feels like another damn boarding school. A low growl began to build up as she spoke, barely audible, but she still gave the body lying across her feet a kick, and the growl disappeared.

Ainslie sighed, surprised when the box of Pocky landed on her chest. Girl, you need chocolate. Catch. Ainslie smiled some at the declaration of how important the candy sticks were to Zasha. She opened the box and began to nibble at them slowly, smiling some.
The comment about insanity made her sink into herself. She couldn't help that she was mentally unwell. It just happened. It wasn't something she could change, was it? It's not as though she asked to be crazy. Quickly, she shoved the next stick of Pocky into her mouth whole. Just feels like another damn boarding school. Ainslie nodded in agreement. She'd only been to one boarding school, but it did seem to have that flavor to it.
A real sigh escaped her, instead of one of her silent ones, and she curled up on top of the bed.
