Age: 35

Gift: Pain Infliction
Gift Specification:
Raphael's form of pain infliction is skin deep. It's triggered when he's touched by another being. However, due to his age, Raphael has managed to control it, and during normal social events it's almost impossible to be affected by it if you brush up against him. It's difficult for him to control it during times of extreme emotion, such as joy and sorrow. It's impossible for him to control it under extreme duress, anger or during sexual pursuits, which makes intimate physical contact impossible for him. He has limited psychic pain abilities that he chooses not to hone, as they take far too much concentration on his part.Awareness: Aware
Personality:
At first glance, Raphael seems like your stereotypical dark and brooding male. He spends much of his time alone, reading over his course materials himself or working on his lesson plans for the next day. Due to the less-than-friendly exterior, strangers aren't very fond of him or meeting him, which isn't a wrong diagnoses of him. He's not very nice, but he is friendly, if that sort of thing is possible.Appearance:
If you manage to pass stage one of Raphael's personality, you'll be faced with a crude, apathetic man who doesn't seem to really care if you sit in his class or skip it; he sees the students as fresh young minds to probe and prod for more information on his own 'condition' and how it manifests. During stage two of his personality, he watches people and takes mental notes on their actions and interactions with others, getting to know them without actually talking to them.
Stage three is where Raphael begins to show real human emotions. This is where he begins to call people his friends and really take an interest in them. His words become animated, and the change in him is obvious. He smiles, he greets them and he asks them out for dinner at nice restaurants. This is also where people realize how vain he is. There isn't much known about the stage after three, which is assumed to be a romantic one, as only one person has made it into stage three. Students never breach stage two.
Raphael has a strong, fit physique. His hair, kept short and well groomed, is honey blonde. He has green eyes. His skin is pale, but not unnaturally so; he just doesn't tan. Past the basics, Raphael is a well put together man. He considers himself very attractive in male standards, with a strong jaw and broad shoulders.History:
His typical dress is office casual. He wears loose button-up shirts and slacks to his classroom, but refuses to wear a tie and leaves the top button undone for comfort as he doesn't like the constraints of a collar. Outside of the classroom, he continues to wear his slacks and dress shirts. He just finds it comfortable, rather than a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. He doesn't wear any accessories, with the exception of a silver watch.
Raphael's mother was a teacher at Hollowcove Institute, and so he was raised there most of his life. His father died when he was five, forcing his mother to care for him at all times. During his childhood, he was perfectly normal. He had no clairvoyant abilities until his 12th birthday, when his mother fell ill with pneumonia and passed away. Raphael became a full time student at the school, where he took his frustrations out on his peers and wound up in isolation several times.Image URL: [x]
He took his junior and senior years at Hollowcove to perfect his control over his abilities until he finally managed some form of mastering. After school, he went on to be a teacher and therapist, wanting to learn from the students to try and gain more insight to his own 'condition'. He found it easy to teach them, and settled into his job with ease.
